I have decided to set myself a photographic project which will stretch from the 1st of January 2011 which is hurtling towards me with indecent haste until the distant 31st December 2011.
That's right, I've been lured into the 'photo a day' club. I've always been impressed when I've stumbled upon a year long photo project, especially if there has been a degree of effort and thought with the photos. I imagine it's easy enough to take a photo of anything once a day, with a camera phone in everyone's pockets, there's no faffing with film, cables, chemicals or lenses but I don't want it to be that easy. I may regret my decision when I get bogged down in grey but I have decided to limit my photo a day to a particular colour, to photograph the range of only one colour for a whole month. I can see the pitfalls now, what happens if I select black as my colour for April and miss out on all of those gorgeous green buds and pink blossoms? No matter; I have plenty of other opportunities to take as many pretty seasonal pictures as my hard drive can cope with. I think it will be good to limit and challenge myself, if I find it hard and challenging, never mind, there will be a new photo the next day.
So here it is, Eyeshoot365 and I'll be kicking off on Saturday January 1st with Dark Blue.
