Today's picture is a close up of a vase which used to belong to my grandmother, it's a big hefty piece of Murano glass which used to endlessly fascinate me when I was little and used to stay with them for weeks at a time during my holidays. I always loved the swirls and blobs of colour and the little sparkly bits. When she died I rescued it from her belongings as I'm the only one who ever liked it. It now sits on a sunny window ledge in my dining room and when the sun flows through it, as it did for a nano-second this morning, it looks beautiful.
